Meditations are easy enough to understand, but often difficult to perform. Meditations are condidered to be one of the most basic tools a Novice Witch and more Adepts can use. It is the Art and Pratice of clearing the mind of almost all thought and Training the mind to think more slowly to work out problems, envision outcomes, pratice magick, commune with Dieties, and among manny manny other uses, create a calmer more effective dispostiton.

You know that feeling when you "Zone Out"? Thats meditating. Sounds easy enough, doesn't it? Surprising enough most Novice and even Adept Witches have difficulties learning this technique without someone to guide them. ( :o was my reaction when I realized this ) There are manny books and tapes for self teaching this technique however, meditation is different for everyone, makes sense doesn't it? Everyone is different so why shoulden't meditation be any different?

I found out during my own experinces with meditation that there are a few different levels or depths of going under ( or over if you prefer ) the first of which is "day dreaming" easy enough to do but is free form and not usually controled. The second is a little less then that and is more structured and self induced but nothing really comes of it except for a more calmer you. The third of which is where you get stuff done, its where you are aware of almost nothing but have complete control of what goes on inside, its this level that most people have the most difficulties in achieving, because they try to "jump the gun" and get straight to working with it without first intentionally experiencing the other two levels of meditation.

Within the next few topics I will be explaining some of my experiences with my own techniques.
