Marcy is part of a British-traditional based Wicca coven located in Southern Miami County, Ohio. She began both her formal Wiccan training with Spirit Wind coven (Maryland) and her legal training (Catholic University, Columbus School of Law) in 1996. She received her Juris Doctor in 1999 and her third degree in 2003. She also received her first degree in the Correllian Tradition in 2006, while a member of Heritage Temple.

As an open and active Wiccan, she has participated in Mystic District, the Open Hearth Foundation, and Pagan Pride Day, D.C. In 2007, she was the chair of the Miami Valley (Ohio) PPD. She is a routine guest lecturer on Paganism and the law at Sinclair Community College. In her more mundane life, she is married, has three children (21, 5, and 2), two dogs, two cats, and a husband. She recently opened her own legal practice, where she concentrates on family law and children’s issues. Prior to that, she spent several years working for the federal and state government.
